Logan Dean has no idea what is in store for her when she opens a letter announcing she has inherited an estate named "Aviemore Hall" from a benefactor she barely remembers.  Hoping her new home will be a safe haven, Logan arrives in South Carolina full of optimism. Ian Grant is a complication she did not see coming.  Drawn unavoidably to each other, Logan and Ian are connected in both the present and the past.  Logan is in for the fight of her life — and she realizes that her life is with Ian. They have an undeniable attraction to each other and neither wants a relationship, but there is no denying fate.  Both Ian and Logan have demons lurking in their pasts that will not be denied.  The story battles hundreds of years of history, in order for Ian and Logan to try for happily ever after.

This is intrigue, mystery, and steamy love all rolled into a dramatic tale that demands the reader's attention to finish it.  Logan and Ian attempt to make amends with the demons of the past as they try to deal with their futures. In Ian’s case, the demons are literal. The author shows the story in amazing detail, but the history slows down the pace some.  Logan and Ian go through deep growth and development that binds the readers to their characters.  This is the first book in a series of five, so not all developments end by the end of the story. However, enough of the ends are tied up so that one is not left with a cliffhanger.  This book has a great fresh approach that readers who love intrigue and vampires will devour.
