The reader is quickly introduced to Amelia’s struggles of being a psychic FBI agent trying to maintain a social life, particularly with her boyfriend who may be keeping secrets from her.  Amelia, despite her flaws, is a strong female lead, accompanied by an equally diverse and interesting cast. Though Ms. Fox is a talented storyteller with a creative paranormal world, her writing style is sometimes long winded with unnecessary description. Written from Amelia’s point of view, the reader may find themselves asking how some narrative and inner dialogue is relevant to story. That being said, the story is engaging from beginning to end and filled with twists and turns. While some readers will find the complex storyline a bit overwhelming, others will devour every word.
