TIME TRAVEL:  Chiara D’Angelo and Jack Knight-Snow don’t get along. They could avoid one another, except she’s promised to help Jack figure out the cause behind his ghostly state and perhaps fix it. The problem is that Jack finds Chiara intriguing despite her trust issues and tendency to snoop. Chiara’s problem is that she can’t help but like the way he accepts her, not to mention his noble air combined with sarcastic humor and delectable body. Of course, there is a mystery around Jack, and new dangers having to do with the D’Angelo curse and gifts of Second Sight keep popping up. Dangers only Chiara and Jack might be able to deal with. Uncovering the truth will lead them through past and present Tuscany and beyond, but, Chiara and Jack don’t get along, right?

An exciting paranormal romance, “Lightning Struck” combines mystical powers and curses with the beautiful Tuscan backdrop and psychological hurts that carry into relationships. Chiara is a self-proclaimed “hot mess,” and Jack is a man out of his time. Together they make a fantastic romantic read. As the third book in the astounding “Brothers Maledetti” series, there are plenty of spoilers for the earlier books, but this story picks up where the previous ones left off and with a steady pace explores the curse further. Although the end is only partially concluded and there’s not much action, the romance itself is full of emotional punch, and overall, “Lightning Struck” makes for a good middle series book with tons of potential.
