Forgotten in Darkness (Scimitar Magi #2)

Genre:
Paranormal

Scimitar Magus Dakar is back from purgatory and ready to party. Well, more like destroy his ancient enemy, but it’s pretty much the same thing. Almost immediately, however, he runs into her. Shay, she is called in this life. The one woman he is cursed to love and then to die by her hand over and over again. This time he might have to do the one thing he has never been able to before-kill her before she destroys both of them.

Shay has been looking for Scimitar Magi lore for a long time, but she could hardly imagine Dakar. She is both drawn and repelled by him. Will they finally be able to defeat the curse that’s kept them hurting for millennia?

Is there anything more delicious than a tattooed band of badass warriors? Zoe Forward might have created the best brotherhood since BDB and Dark-Hunters! Although the beginning and the details of the Scimtar Magi might be confusing at first, when one gets the hang of it (and, ahem, them) it becomes a quicksand of excitement!

Dakar and Shay are wonderful star-crossed lovers. They are both so strong, yet so vulnerable to each other… Although the curse carries extraordinary danger, the resurrection aspect of their relationship makes the falling-in-love less compelling, though. It’s the story of two people already in love fighting for “forever”. It is very well executed, but that note of closeness was subtly missing. Still, this novel is the perfect blend of friendship, love, magic and battle that begs the questions: “More, Ms. Forward?” and “How soon?!?”
