TIME TRAVEL:  Bradford Kendall, the Duke of Weston, is the modern day epitome of an English Rake. Although he is a business man, he enjoys the finer things of life without apologizing. When his step-brother’s wife, Regina Dewitt, shows up on his doorstep he is wary of her intentions. She claims she is present for two reasons: on her father’s behalf and to find out what happened to her sister. Attraction flares between Bradford and Regina but Bradford attempts to squash his feelings. Regina, on the other hand, refuses to allow her heart to fall for a notorious Rake. While the search for Regina’s sister progresses Bradford and Regina realize they are fighting a losing battle when it comes to matters of the heart.

Although “Linked Across Time.” can be read as a stand-alone book, readers may find it helpful to read the first two books in the series in order to understand all of the plots and characters. “Seduction of My Rake” is listed under the time travel umbrella but there is very little time travel mentioned in the whole of the book. It is very much a contemporary novel that is slow moving and tedious at times. The descriptions are loquacious and do not seem to fit the plot and the characters are at times less than relatable. They do have some unique attributes but lack any real depth. Romance lovers will find this entertaining, but time-travel fans looking for an addition to their bookshelves may not agree.
