Hadlee Jameson had everything a person could want: a loving and supportive family and a good life. When her father suddenly dies, Hadlee's mother becomes a cold, heartless woman and Hadlee's life is torn apart. Focusing on keeping things on an even keel, Hadlee meets the intriguing Kaisen Sinclair. The strange thing is that he keeps showing up in her life and she soon becomes suspicious. As they become closer, Hadlee pushes her suspicions to the side and delves into the passion and love she feels for Kaisen. When secrets begin to rear their ugly head and involve the man she loves, Hadlee finds herself thrown into a situation she never thought possible. Will she get through it and get the happiness she deserves?

The emotional aspect of the book really stands out.  The array of emotions and feelings displayed by the characters really jump off the page and bring the reader right into the heart of the story. Many readers will be able to relate to what Hadlee is going through. The love scenes are passionate and hot. There was a little more telling than showing, which took away from the smooth and even pace of the story. The dialogue between the characters really adds to the enjoyment of this book. A few heart-stopping moments when the secrets are revealed are tense and very well written. A deeply emotional and enjoyable read.
