Once Upon Another Time

TIME TRAVEL:  Jessie is a middle-aged woman with more regrets than she can count. She has a husband and two grown children but feels unfulfilled. Receiving an invitation to her 18-year high school reunion, all her past mistakes begin haunting her, especially those regrets about her treatment of her best friend, Royal. Her old friend, Royal, was once called her Twin Flame, until she decided to ignore him in high school, thus losing contact with him for 30 years. Jessie is determined to attend her reunion in hopes of seeing Royal once more, but nothing prepares her for the storm that propels her back into her senior year in high school. This time when she sees Royal, she will do it all over again. 

This is one of those stories that will stick with you for a very long time! From beginning to end, the reader will be absorbed in every decision Jessie makes to change the path of her life. Her connection with Royal is powerful and easily felt on every page. Royal is a very endearing character and destined to be any reader’s favorite with his pure heart, intelligence, and loyalty to Jessie. Though the story itself is unique and will resonate with many readers, there were many intense questions that were intentionally left unanswered, as the story ends in a very frustrating cliffhanger. Throughout the book, Jessie never shows much concern about forgetting her husband or the fact that her children may never be born if she changes her history. However, the story is so impactful and emotional, the reader will be certain to enjoy it!
