Genre:
Historical

Alexander has lived a simple life in a monastery since being brought there as a very young boy. His world changes forever when he is sent to Castle Kilmuir to tutor the nephew of Domnall, Thane of Kilmuir.  Domnall’s sister Sibylla is very curious about Alexander and feels drawn to him from the moment he arrives. Alexander has never known feelings like the ones he has for Sibylla — feelings that make him question his decision to become a monk. When he discovers the secrets of his past, his situation becomes even more confusing.  With royal blood running through his veins and a claim to the throne of Scotland, Alexander’s past is a dangerous one, which could very well threaten the woman he loves.

Readers who pick up “Virtue” are in for an amazing adventure! Ms. Vane does a beautiful job describing the Highlands and creating dynamic characters. Alexander grows from an unsure monk into a courageous highlander. Sibylla is a fierce woman, and the passionate love that grows between these two is exhilarating. Both characters grow with their experiences and together as their relationship deepens.  Not only are the characters amazing, Ms. Vane has woven a romance filled with political turmoil. The only downfall is that it ends on a cliffhanger. Loose ends are tied up and the story arc is completed, but readers are left dying for more! Those who read “Virtue” will be counting down the days for the release of book  two!
