Sir Garret De Moray is a decorated knight for Richard the Lionheart. His skills are unsurpassed, and he is known as Kronos – father of the Gods.  The alluring Lyssa Du Bose is a lady in waiting to the Duchess of Colchester.  Her speech impediment has her believing she will be a spinster for the rest of her life. That is, until Garret De Moray comes to her rescue.

What’s not to love about Sir Garret De Moray? He possesses all the elements of a perfect hero: strength, wisdom, compassion, good looks and character. The moment Garret meets Lyssa they are drawn to each other like two powerful magnets. He is taken by her innocence, she by his ability to make her feel special. Garret comes to Lyssa’s rescue when the evil Duke of Colchester compromises her innocence. Although he fears  that the Duke is untouchable, De Moray wields his strength to put the man in his place.

Author Kathryn Le Veque is a mistress at her craft, and it is evident from the very first page! "Shield of Kronos" is a smoothly flowing story that will bring readers to a thrilling crescendo. There are but two niggling details: typing the heroine’s speech impediment each time she speaks in the book is surfeit, since readers are told of the stuttering at the beginning. There is also a scene or two with attempted sexual assault and violence against women but nothing that would prohibit reading this captivating page-turner. This solidly written story will leave readers craving more from this talented author!
