Tempting Jane (The Rochester Sisterhood Book 1)

Monica
Burns

Genre:
Contemporary

Jane Rochester’s temp agency has a reputation for excellence and professionalism. When she is asked to fill in at a Fortune 500 company, she eagerly embraces the opportunity to increase her standing in the business community. However, her professionalism is challenged when she meets Lincoln Chandler. This gorgeous hunk of a man is everything she could ever have dreamed of and the heat of his gaze leaves her weak at the knees. The feeling is mutual and despite his reservations, Lincoln finds himself swept away at the intensity of emotions that Jane inspires in him.

Readers who like passion filled romance will not be disappointed with “Tempting Jane”. Ms. Burns’ expressive narrative gives the reader a captivating and indulgent tale of romance with just the right amount of heat. The story suffers from some predictable clichés:  manipulation, misunderstanding and some irritating stubbornness on the part of Lincoln. However, “Tempting Jane” is saved by its engaging complement of secondary characters in the form of the couple’s sisters. Their humor and wit and keep the story moving through its predictable and muddy bits. In fact, the male characters in the story are just a little bland compared to the women in the story. However, in Lincoln’s defense, the Rochester Women are pretty cool. “Tempting Jane” is the first in what appears to be a great series that promises to only get better with each installment.
