CHICK-LIT:  Ten years ago, five very different women formed a singing group known as the Sassy Cats.  Although they enjoyed great success and hit the top of the charts, one of the five broke ranks and walked away. Each woman — Mandy, Tabitha, Callie, Angie and Daphne — had her own part to play in the group's breakup, and it did not end well. When Callie brings the group back together for a music festival, will the five women be able to forgive past hurts in order to sing together, or will those hurts cause even more of a divide?

Written from the perspective of each of the five Sassy Cats, "Once in a Lifetime" traces the lives of each of the members from the breakup of the group to the reunion. The reader is given glimpses of each at different points of her life, tracing her path from who she was then to who she is now. Intensely relatable and compulsively readable, the book brings readers into the head of each of the Cats, even though at times it is not a pleasant place to be.  The women are likeable despite the mean things they say or do to one another; the emotions between them are universal.  An entertaining romp with a super-girl group, "Once in a Lifetime" brings readers along for the ride, with the hope that in the end the Sassy Cats will get along and sing one last time together.
