Candace Gleason worked hard to achieve her dreams. After landing a great job with a killer salary, she thinks she has finally made it — until she is assigned to babysit her boss’s son. Jack Morrison is the black sheep of his family.  Despite growing up in a corporate-minded family, Jack devotes his life to a nonprofit organization meant to protect the less fortunate from evil corporations just like the one his family runs. From the moment they are thrown together, sparks fly. When Candace begins to fall for Jack, she must reevaluate her priorities. She was charged with keeping him out of jail, but can she keep him out of her heart?

“Don’t Let Him Go” is a fast-paced contemporary romance, led by couple who knows what they want and fight for it. This may seem like an "opposites attract" story but, at their core, Jack and Candace share the same values and their passion draws them to each other. The chemistry between them is evident from the beginning, though both characters can come across as childish and frustrating at times. Their romance moves too quickly, initially driven by lust rather than love, and the ending is also drawn out. Even after the leads get their happily-ever-after, the novel continues for a few more chapters that add nothing more to the story itself. However, they do build on the happy ending and pave the way for the next installment of the series.  Despite its faults, “Don’t Let Him Go” is a steamy laugh-out-loud story that can be enjoyed in one sitting.
