Working on ski patrol is difficult when you're a woman. Sophie Tremore knows this all too well, it's what she has to put up with. Making it even more difficult is that her ex-boyfriend is also her boss. Max Demford has done everything he can to avoid working directly with Sophie. He knows how dangerous ski patrol is and doesn't want to lose anyone else. When Sophie is involved in an accident, they end up spending a night together that they will not forget. Their passionate affair could also risk their careers. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles?

Passion and scolding heat melt the snow of this novel. The plot is clichéd but works with where the story is based. There was a distinct lack of description of the mountain surroundings. This would have added to the book and given the reader a more in-depth journey with the characters. Aside from this, the book is a fun read and will be enjoyed by readers. The love scenes are searing hot and filled with passion, very hot under the collar material. This is a good addition to the series and it may take readers back to the first book and spur them on to read the next books.
