Commitment

Maggie McCann has spent years waiting for her Prince Charming to come along and sweep her off her feet. But as the time passes, and the dreaded 40th birthday draws  near, she decides to be rational and accept that some dreams don’t come true.  One dream she won’t give up on, however, is having a child of her own.  Luckily, in this day and age, she can do it on her own. What is that saying about the best laid plans?!?
Tom Sullivan is your quintessential playboy. He loves women, but will never be willing to marry. It doesn’t help that he’s a divorce attorney, and sees marriages fall apart every day.  There is something about Maggie, however, that draws him in and he actually wants to try a relationship with her..until  he hears about the plan, then everything changes. Suddenly, his life isn’t as fulfilling as he believed. Luckily, there is a solution to his desires.
“Commitment” is an impressive story filled with  rich characters that make the reader really care for them.  The plot itself may not be unusual, yet it’s told in such an attractive way! It was absolutely perfect - until the last 10% or so, when it got a bit confusing.  The characters made some decisions and acted in ways that didn’t quite fit their behavior.  Still, any imperfections are far outweighed by the awesome characters. Both Tom and Maggie are perfectly imperfect and so right for each other! There are moments of laughter, but also moments when emotions fly high, making one believe love truly can conquer all!
