“Chasing Secrets” is "hold on to your hat" good, with the perfect mix of romance. Ms. James weaves mystery and lies through Sonoma, California’s wine country. This story is a thrilling ride, full of danger and suspense and all for a second chance at love. Two feuding families have a lot to forgive to find peace. The characters are well developed and come off as genuine relatable people. The pace and storyline are steady with multiple twists and turns. Some readers may find it predictable but overall it is a satisfying read with growth and responsibilities well portrayed. The history of the past and how it affects many in the future is spot on in Ms. James' work.
