Kendra Kensington is a hard-working romance novelist hoping to write a story that will help her become a household name. When the call finally comes from her agent that one of her novels will be made into a movie, Kendra is ecstatic. Deciding to share the news with her boyfriend, she walks into his apartment only to find him in bed with another woman. Instead of falling into a state of depression, Kendra takes this chance to move to Los Angeles and begin a new life. Becoming a consultant on the set of her novel’s movie, Kendra meets the star, Blake Tyler, and the attraction is instantaneous. Unable to trust her instincts, Kendra is unsure if she should attempt a relationship with the handsome star, or if he could be the next man to cause her heartache.

“Celebrity” is an interesting, funny, and enjoyable story. The beginning of this novel is filled with inconsistencies as well as incorrect word usage which, at first, makes it hard to focus on the plot itself. For example, Kendra tells her mother she is receiving five hundred thousand dollars. When her mother questions her, Kendra replies, “Dollars, Mom.  A million dollars!”  Although the inconsistencies, spelling mistakes, and wrong word usage are distracting, after several chapters, the editing improves and the story flows well, becoming an enchanting tale of travel, adventure, and love. The magical relationship between Kendra and Blake is crafted in such a way that readers will feel as if they know them personally making this an enjoyable read.
