The 12 Dares of Christmas

Leigh W.
Stuart
Genre:
Contemporary

Lauren Hall's Christmas wish is to build a no-kill animal shelter. Her way to do it involves daring Gabe Nicholson to do a strip tease. Gabe, in turn, is hoping he gets his dream job. Now he is getting ready to perform a strip tease for the local knitting society. Who knew Lauren's fundraiser would cause a scandal, or that both she and Gabe would have to deal with the consequences? As things go from bad to worse they have to put all their energy into fixing them. Will they be able to salvage their wishes and ignite the passion beginning to burn between them?

A very charming and well-written Christmas story that can be enjoyed by all readers, "The 12 Dares of Christmas" is evenly paced and features two very strong characters - both a pleasure to read. The dialogue is teasing and fun between Lauren and Gabe which gives the book a lighter feel. Leigh W. Stuart goes into great detail about her characters feelings, both mental and physical, throughout the book. This worked well with the erotic scenes, but perhaps gave a little too much detail in other places. There was also a lack of adequate scene description, as the focus seemed to be more on the characters. All in all this is a very fun and steamy read. With some laugh out loud moments, it is ideal for a cozy night in front of the fire.
