MYSTERY:  When hairstylist Marla Shore decides to shed a few pounds by joining the local gym, she gets more than she bargained for!  On her first day, her visit is interrupted by a chilling scream, and the body of her friend Jolene Myers floating face down in the whirlpool.  Marla gets to work trying to solve the crime with the help of her gorgeous boyfriend - but with a long list of suspects and more bodies added to the count, will she be the next corpse on the slab?

This is the third installment in Nancy J. Cohen’s wildly hilarious Bad Hair Day series and is a force to be reckoned with.  Witty charm is written into every line, making this story an absolute treat of a whodunit.  The twists and turns of the plot will keep listeners guessing until the end, and then begging for more!  Despite the fact that this book is the third in a series, it is fine as a standalone.

Mary Ann Jacobs does a superb job voicing these characters with all the sass and sarcasm that is needed, and makes a great story even more wonderful to listen to.  Each character is distinct and her story telling style makes the intrigue easier to follow.  Her voice is very dynamic and the inflections and tones she uses really help flesh out an already wonderful story.

If a sassy southern lady solving scintillating mysteries is what a listener is looking for, then this is THE audiobook.  The killer combination of Nancy J. Cohen and Mary Ann Jacobs is dead certain to tantalize the eardrums and kill boredom!
