Eloisa James, Discusses Her Life as an Academic Regency Romance Icon

I must admit, going into an interview with Eloisa James can be a bit intimidating. Her intellectual resume (BA from Harvard, M.Phil. from Oxford, Ph.D. from Yale and now a professor teaching Shakespeare at Fordham) is daunting to say the least.  What I found, however, was anything but the prim and proper professor staring significantly down her nose.  Eloisa is engaging, warm, quite funny at times and most importantly, very down to earth. She laughs often, jokes much and has a good time discussing life as an academic who writes hot romance novels on the side! She went out of her way to make a new acquaintance feel at ease and comfortable and because of her genuine warmth, I walked away feeling I had discovered a friend.

Read the entire interview in the Dec/Jan 2014-15 issue of InD'Tale magazine.
