The Best Way To Learn

Many things are innate from birth and are the same with everyone; there are physical things like how to breathe, make verbal sounds, and move our limbs.  Then there are  emotional things, like what we all find funny and laugh at, even as infants, or things we find scary, or faces we all seem to find attractive/unattractive. However, those abilities don't make us who we are, they don't determine our placement in society, or our level of hierarchy.
Improvement in the physical, from skills in playing fun games, to professional sports, from development of our creativeness, to advancement in our careers, all require the same thing... learning. Without learning we would still be in the Stone Age. Learning not only teaches us the specific subject we are studying, it also teaches us how to learn, and the many different ways there are to learn.
Among those many ways is the most common; taking"classes" or workshops in the field of your endeavor. Whether pre-school through high school, or college and individual classes, being taught by a professional is one of the best ways to learn about a field or topic, followed by hands-on experience. There is a reason why professionals in their fields get paid more than someone who thought they would just give it a try themselves. Professionals have learned the aspects of their craft, the do's and don'ts, the rights and wrongs, the good and bad, the shortcuts, easy fixes, and alternative solutions.
Doctors don't learn how to perform surgery by trial and error. Attorneys don't learn how to defend people by guessing the laws. Engineers don't come up with their calculations with mere addition and subtraction. They had to take classes in their fields before becoming great at what they do. This applies to all careers, fields, trades, and even hobbies. You can only improve by learning. The more you learn, the better you become. Trial and error will only get you so far, and takes far longer to get you where you want or need to be, in order to be successful.
When opportunities arise for you to learn something related to anything you are interested in, take that opportunity, whether it be a documentary on television, an article on a website, or a lecture, seminar or class at an event. Missing these opportunities will minimize your potential and delay your success.
With an open mind, just about any learning opportunity will award you something from it, even if it is only one tidbit of knowledge that can be used later. That one small thing could be the marketing tip you needed, the answer to the question you've had for so long, the solution to your problem that now changes everything for you.
The feeling you get when you learn something you never knew, or never thought of before, is very empowering and motivating. It produces self-confidence and self-esteem, it pushes you to learn even more and try other things, it opens doors for new interests and endeavors, it gives you the tools to be successful.
So grab every opportunity to take classes or workshops taught by professionals, learn what you can when you can, listen and observe as much as possible, and be open-minded, knowing you'll get something out of everything!
